Maeve McCaffery | Los Angeles, CA

Maeve McCaffrey found her way into a career in fitness during college. As the toll of multiple daily classes added up, she rediscovered yoga — something she knew as a child through her mother's daily practice when growing up in Vermont. Maeve found yoga as a way to find balance in her body and heal overuse injuries.

As her yoga practice deepened, Maeve began her yoga teacher training and she began teaching in 1999. She has continued to teach yoga and integrated it with her clients as a Certified Personal Trainer at the Sports Club/LA in both Boston and Los Angeles. Maeve believes the worlds of fitness and yoga can co-exist as complementary lifestyle necessities.

Maeve has worked in the fitness industry since 1993 in management, as a certified personal trainer and group exercise instructor. She has been certified by NASM, ACSM, AFAA, The Cooper Institute, and Muscle Activation Technique (MAT).

She has been fortunate to study with such teachers and organizations as David Swenson, Shiva Rea, Mark Whitwell, Max Strom, and YogaWorks. She currently works for YogaWorks as the Director of Specialty Programming, overseeing the Mindful Fitness classes.
